Dancing after Schools would like to annouce the first 'Everybody Dance Now' fundraising show. This amazing fundraising talent show will take place on Saturday 6th November at Anerley Town Hall, Anerley Road, London SE20 8BD.

There will be 2 performances in the afternoon and in the evening.

Afternoon Show: 1pm till 3pm for the Junior performers

Evening Show: 7pm till 9pm for the Senior performers

Please Note: If you wish to attend both the afternoon and evening show, tickets will need to be purchased for both performances.

We hope you are as excited  as we are about the show! As I am sure you are aware by now this show has been put together not only as a great way of encouraging young people to show off their dancing skills and talent but also as a means of raising awareness and much needed funds for the ACLT charity (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust).

The ACLT is a registered charity which raises awareness about leukaemia and blood related cancers and recruits potential bone marrow donors and blood donors on the UK bone marrow and blood registries.

The charity was set up in 1996 by co-founders Beverley De-Gale and Orin Lewis, 3 years after their son Daniel De-Gale was diagnsoed with leukaemia. In 1996 he suffered a relapse of the disease and urgently needed a life saving bone marrow transplant from an un-related donor. Due to bone marrow matching being race specific the odds of Daniel finding an un-related donor was estimated to be 1 in 250,000 simple because not enough Black or Mixed Race people were registering as potential donors.

An International campaign was led by Daniel's parents and the newly founded ACLT charity and eventually a matching donor was found for Daniel. he received his a successful bone marrow transplant on the 16th June 1999 and went on to achieve many educational and life goals including travelling and a degree in Sports Therapy.

Sadly, Daniel continued to have other health concerns and was taken from his family and dear friends on the 8th October 2008 aged just 21 years.

Daniel was a figher and he fought his battle against illness with tremendous courage.

Please visit the ACLT website for further details about the life saving work being carried out www.aclt.org

Everybody Dance Now will celebrate the life of Daniel De-Gale. An extradionary young man who has subsequently saved so many lives by raising awareness of all blood related cancers and recruiting potential bone marrow donors and blood donors.
